Hi guys, welcome to my blog! My name is James, and I’m currently studying audio at SAE Institute in Brisbane, with a focus on post-production, sound design and foley art. I’m hoping to transfer these skills to work in radio, film and games. This is my blog where I take a look at a variety of ideas and techniques from both the technical and creative side of sound. Feel free to have a nosy around at my portfolio below and follow me on Soundcloud and Twitter if you like what you see.
Lego Movie Sound Replacement
A project I worked on with George Hickman and Lachlan Gleeson to remove and reproduce all the audio from a scene in The Lego Movie.
Anta Advertisement Sound Replacement
A project I worked on to create sound for a sports advertisement from Anta delivered to a specific brief.
Queensland Wind Orchestra – Rituals
Worked in a small team with Callum Hicks and George Hickman to record a live orchestral performance by the QWO featuring the Hillbrook Chorale, at the Old Museum in Brisbane. I was part of the live setup and recording team and also helped mix and edit the tracks for the final client deliverable.
Eamon Joseph
These are some demo songs that I recorded and mixed for a local Brisbane artist Eamon Joseph. We have also just finished recording a ten track album with each other that is set to be released in the coming months.
Gone Crab
A short game I worked on creating the atmosphere, foley and sound design elements.
